New Associate Pastor at Christ UMC!

Bishop Hopkins intends to appoint Wilbur Bragg (RL) as the associate pastor of the Cambridge Christ UMC effective January 1, 2012. This new position comes as part of the growth in our ministry and is a significant step in positioning our church to support its existing membership while making new disciples of Jesus Christ. Wib comes to us with a deep dedication to Christ and years of pastoral experience. He is well known to the community. He will be giving up visitation and other responsibilities with the Quaker City and Salesville churches in Koinonia Team Ministries to give time and energy to this new position. Wib will continue to be involved in missions teams as time permits. We welcome Wib and pray for God's blessings on his new ministry.

Sermon recordings are now available on cd and the church web site. If you would like a cd copy of the sermon, contact the church office (439-4579) and a cd will be prepared.

 

G.R.A.C.E Pantry

Guernsey Resource Association for Community Enrichment "I was hungry, and you gave me food..." Matthew 25:35 Grace Pantry's staff and volunteers care deeply about the over 500 different hungry and undernourished people they serve each month in Cambridge. These families need our assistance and support. Grace Pantry can only make a difference in the lives of people with the support and generosity of people like you. As well as donations, the pantry is in need of volunteers to help with food drives and distribution on the last Friday of each month.

 

Monday Evening Bible Study

Shirley B. will be holding the 10 Basic Steps to Christian Maturity. This is an excellent study to help you grow in your Christian walk. Contact Shirley at 432-3615 if interested.

 

Small Groups

Our church has six active small groups, most of them meet twice a month in member's homes. If you would like to know more about this exciting ministry contact Vickie Lyons or one of the group leaders; Tim Todd, Trudy Gibson, Cinda Starr and Joe Starr.

 

Doers Bible Study

1st and 3rd Thursday 2:30 pm – 4 pm
Group Meets at Trudy Gibson’s home and led by retired Pastor Virginia Geiger.  The group studies different books of the bible. Please contact the church office for directions.
